Conversation Corner

Our goal is to help people who are learning English integrate into Canadian society. Our meetings provide a setting where newcomers to Canada can improve their English by talking about life in Toronto and Canada, and by sharing their own culture and life stories. We are currently using ideas from English as a Second Language (ESL) programs to help the participants learn more English. We cover a wide range of topics, such as, understanding slang and jokes, using public transit, avoiding credit card and phone fraud. We are not evangelistic but we do share simple Christian stories and invite them to programs in the church.
